Rated 1 out of 5 by from My last year with Turbotax. Definitely switching to HR block. Turbotax is basically just a giant paywall and I can’t even begin to express how disappointed with their services this year. Never again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never have a TurboTax professional do your taxes Simply put: Do it yourself, or get an accountant. The quality of these people doing it is bad, or the software is unintuitive and even these 20+ year CPAs make mistakes. You are one of the following: 1. Simple return : Just do it yourself. You are wasting $ as they simply take your documents and enter it 2. Complex return: They are not thorough. They won't allocate individual state properly, will take shortcuts. You need to remind them of all special situations and they still get it wrong. I spent 14+hours with 2 professionals and they almost cost me 20k$ of incorrect tax payments. I asked them to cross check their work or show me what they did in the end. Turbotax doesn't allow them but only for you to see after you have paid. Glad I didn't trust them, fixed it myself

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it is supposed to do! Had several times where it "couldn't find the internet", but after a few attempts. It was operating flawlessly. The user can choose an item by item interview or simply the areas you want to address. Couldn't imagine filing any other way.
