Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax No Free Tax Return I started filing my Free Tax Return since I am retired with a fixed income and don't have money to pay for a tax return. Somewhere along the line of processing my return, it changed to a Premium Tax Return. The application did not allow me to change back and I was forced to pay $130 for a simple tax return because I did not want to process all over again, utilizing another free tool. I am a very unhappy customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fastest I've ever completed my taxes I got my taxes done in 20 minutes! Lucky for me, my employers W2s were available in ADP, and just ported over along with my information from last year. Easiest process to date.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Passed Smart Check, but still won't e-file in CA I sold a rental property in 2022. It was a bit difficult to enter the data in Turbo Tax for the rental sale, but I got it all entered. It passed Smart Check Fed, and Smart Check State for CA. When I went to e-file, and paid the $25.00 to e-file in CA, once it tried to transmit, it said it was unable to e-file for CA since form 593 for CA real estate withholding was not filled out. I then had to go back and fill out form 593, but it seems very strange that this would not have been caught by the smart check utility.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sign in problems/concerns I have an account, was able to sign-in without a problem. When I tired to sign-in using Turbo Tax I kept getting error messages. To matters worse there is no contact information to speak with an actual customer service rep. Not sure if I want to continue with Turbo Tax.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbo tax online works better than the desktop ver This year I bought the Turbo Tax from Costco and I found it's very difficult to use. The way it walks me through questions are not as easy as the online version (I used 3 years in a row for online). Turn out, with the online version I get $2K more than the desktop. So I have to go back step by step and compare with the online version to find missing steps. Very disappointing!
