Rated 3 out of 5 by from I like the software but definitely pros and cons I like the software and how user-friendly it is, I did encounter some glitches, and I also believe it's too expensive for what I can do and what you would get if you just go to a tax preparer. I got a glitch at the last step and after looking online I noticed a noticeable amount of people also ran into the same issue. I had to get "Profesional Assistance" in which I just clicked on things that didn't necessarily solve the issue which was: "My email address was missing". Additionally the service is too expensive, for a regular student with no complex taxes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Intuit finally crossed the line God awful product does not provide the service it is supposed to provide. It is supposed to save time by importing forms and filling in information it knows. But instead it forces me to do so much by hand I might as well file by hand. Why do I have to fill out personal info. That should carry forward every year. I am the same person! It is so painful to file taxes with this garbage software. It makes mistakes all the time. I have had to file multiple 1040 amended in subsequent years because I found mistakes. Now to add insult to injury Intuit has decided to inject itself into your financial transactions and REQUIRES you to have and log into an Intuit account just to use their desktop(!) software. Intuit now plays middle man on accessing your financial information from your bank/brokerage. There is no more secure direct connection to your financial institutions. Intuit wants to see how much money you have. There is a reason I don't use the online turbotax and never will. Now I will stop using the desktop software as well. Also, Intuit is so lame it took them multiple days to reset my password so I could file my taxes. Do you know any other company that doesn't have this fully automated and take just a few seconds?!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from what a rip off All through the process i used the "free" addition since my taxes are not complicated. Then somehow at the end, I was required to pay over $100. Next year I will do my taxes on my own. No thanks Turbo Tax.
