Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax works great I've used TurboTax for more than 20 years without a problem. the download process is terrible and frustrating. Once I finally got it downloaded it worked flawlessly. If I have to deal with the download process again next year, its unlikely that I will use TurboTax again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from first time using TT Business New corporation/business. I had mostly a good experience in going through step by step. Seemed to cover everything as one would hope. However, a few tips for what could be fixed-- (1) in asking if the business began when the corporation was formed, the answer was no. When I provided the operations start date (which was hard to figure out and required tax research), TTB then used the operations start date as the beginning of the short tax year! Which then carried over to state return too. That was wrong for both feds and state, but thankfully I figured out how to override. (2) I still can't figure out how TTB calculated the state franchise tax amount. I gave up and went with TTB figure since not that huge of a dollar discrepancy. (3) The state tax return didn't have anywhere close to as many helps in figuring out what the form was asking for. Had to go through voluminous state manual.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have to say, I've been less and less impressed. I've been using turbotax since I first entered the workforce, but I have to say. Every year, fees increase randomly. I was initially lured in by it being free, but then all of a sudden as a college student I'm required to pay 59$ upgrade to deluxe because of some credit, and this year they randomly made me upgrade to deluxe for state, another 59$ charge, and I believe that this is the first year they've charged me ANOTHER 40$ to pay from my refund, which seems to be out of nowhere. I've stayed all these years because of the ease of past information, but I'm reasonably sure that I'll be switching services next year unless something is changed.
