Normally my experience is awesome, but this year I had a terrible time getting the application to get past the activation screen, had to call support 3 times and on hold a long time each time. Then when I went to pay my state taxes it would not go to the Intuit store until I reduced the screen resolution and then I could not read what was o the screen. I had to guess. Very disappointed with program this year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Massively Unprofessional Support for Rejected Tax My 2020 Tax Return was Rejected by the IRS, so I reviewed my 2019 Tax Return to verify the AGI. In reviewing the 2019 Tax Return, I realized that all of my income was not recorded correctly. Not aware of how I should continue, I reached out for help via the number (8006249066) provided in the automated assistant chat box. I was soon connected with a woman who connected via video... I didn't document her name or any other identifiers, but I wish that I would have before she disconnected on me while I was talking. I sincerely hope someone can track who she was through some kind of log associated with my account at about 6:20pm on May 17th, 2021. The following are highlights from the call. It appeared to me that W2 data was not properly imported by the TurboTax system, so I was hoping to get guidance on how to proceed with (1.) correcting my 2019 Tax Return, and (2.) fixing any issues with my 2020 Tax Return. Instead of assisting me, the lady on screen (in video chat) began accusing me of making mistakes on my 2019 Tax Return, and attempting to get me to say that I failed to input a W2. I told her that I would not admit to any failure, and that the cause of failure was not important. She continued to repeat to me that the TurboTax is an automated system that depends on user input. Each time she spoke of the system requiring all of the information, I would reiterate that I'm trying to resolve the two issues that seem to be keeping me from filing my Tax Return. She continued to tell me how she didn't understand what I was asking or how she could help me. I specifically asked if she was saying that she was not able to help me with advising me how I can correct my 2019 Tax Return or Resolve the IRS Rejection of my 2020 Tax Return. Her response was only to say that she didn't understand what I was asking and again accusing me of failing to add a W2. During the conversation, she never raised her voice or spoke with a demeaning tone whatsoever. I also spoke with the same tone and respectful demeanor. After mentioning multiple times, during our conversation, that she seemed to have an attitude or issue with me (because of her apparent accusational intent and clearly ignoring my plea for assistance), she finally disconnected before I could finish telling her that I think I need to talk to someone else.

This year my taxes were not any more difficult but using Turbo Tax was more difficult. Explanations are worded as though you should know what everything means and in general was not as helpful as I remember. I will not be using Turbo Tax again if next year is the same ambiguity.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Billed Amount for State E-file not as shown Turbo tax showed an amount of $20 to file my Georgia State Tax forms. When Visa was entered. The amount appeared as $25 not $20. I paid more to file than the refund. Why is there a discrepancy in the fee?
