However, the filing experience for my state taxes was impossible since the program would not accept my credit card. My zip code spans two counties with different sales tax rates. For some reason the application can not figure out which tax rate so it just refuses to accept my credit card. Please fix this issue. It has been going on for many years now.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
