Rated 1 out of 5 by from False advertising 20% discount My son uses turbo tax, I always used Tax Slayer. My son sent me a link to get 20% off of my simple filing (I only get social security and a small life insurance payment, and nothing more) and after doing my taxes with Turbo Tax it made me pay $62 and didn't let me free file or get the 20% discount.

This year I wanted someone to do my taxes because I lost my husband in January 2023, I travel for work and I knew I would owe due to my husband's lump sum payment from SSN. I started my journey in March. After having to explain my self to multiple people about not having my dead husband's ID I was finally placed with, what I thought, was a cpa. We started the process and I was on the phone for over an hour when she needed prior returns. She didnt know how to find them in your full service dashboard. I was then told to call support. After explaining what I needed I was questioned about why. At this point in the day I was tired of explaining my situation. Support didnt know how to get my tax returns. They had me cancel full service so I could go back to my original dashboard and get them then go through the process again and ask for the cpa. By the time this was all done I was exhausted. I texted the info to the cpa and then heard nothing else. Today I logged in to see the status and I was no longer in the full service. Apparently the cpa cancelled on me and I was not informed. I tried to purchase it again and got the same disrespectful "you dont know what youre talking about" attitude. I got better answers searching google and tax law than your tax experts. I finished my taxes under 2 hours and that included asking where I can indicate that my husband is gone and cant sign (the first response I got was to file as a widow...sheesh). And I still had to pay 129! The app wouldnt give me a cheaper option!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only Allowed 4 Returns Would Not Allow the 5th I did talk with a gentlemen that was very nice and helpful but what he suggested did not work. Still only able to file 4 returns
