Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helpful but not always clear or easy. I've used TurboTax for many years, and it's a powerful and helpful tool. However, there are times it's not clear or easy: this year, we saw an apparent jump in our tax bracket due to a small additional bit of income - it turned out that the issue was that small bit of income bumped us over an AGI limit for a tax credit, so we had to pay tax for that bit of income PLUS we lost the refundable credit, making a big difference in our taxes due - but it took literally hours of time (with your tech support) to figure it out. The 3 tech support folks were great, and they tried really hard, it was just a really obscure issue, made worse by the fact the program didn't flag what had made the change - we had to figure it out the hard way. Also, when I tried to edit that income at one point, the program wouldn't let me access the data again, no matter how I tried to get to it. Luckily, by that point, I was able to figure out I didn't have to change it, but if I had, I would've been stuck.
