Rated 3 out of 5 by from Prep for entering a return It might be a good practice to suggest documents to down load before you start to file. This could be based on your history. For example mortgage doc, taxes paid, investments docs and pin. They could be entered before you start the return. Why does the returns get rejected first then ask for the pin number. we could enter at the start and save overall time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little expensive The experience filing was great - it's simple, easy to do on your own, and things are explained simply and to the point. My only complaint is the cost to file a 1099-K. As someone who is unemployed, and makes a few bucks here and there on my hobbies, the cost to file hit my wallet pretty hard.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Didn't Work this Year....Bad Software Turbo Tax is always difficult to use because of Safety Features, but this year was a Catastrophe. It wouldn't connect to the Internet at times due to inability to work with protection software, it wouldn't download my fidelity data until I defeated 2 factor identification, it failed to come back to the same place when I saved my file and returned, the "help data base" was useless to resolve these difficulties, and it was a pain to get a real person on line to help. Overall, Horrible service,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from User interface for entering K-1s isn't very good This was my first time using Turbo Tax in over 20 years, and while parts of it were very easy-to-use and saved me a bunch of time (for example, being able to import my 1099s electronically), the interface for entering K-1 data was so poor that I probably spent more time trouble shooting this that it would have taken me to just do the entire tax return by hand. In particular, one of the interfaces (but not all) turned out to need actual numbers in every cell, but TT instructions didn't say that. The "Review" triggered by the empty cells used a truncated name that made it appear to be asking for the same thing over and over (e.g., Enter QBI, Enter QBI, etc.) but was actually different (e.g., QBI 2019, QBI 2020, etc), and so my resulting returns had incorrect numbers all over the schedule. After many, many hours, I figured out what was going on and entered 0 in all of the blank cells, and then everything finally worked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect Works great but very difficult to get answers to simple questions. Can't access help for specific areas of tax return. Put in very words that say an error has been made and help does not come up for that subject. Could be better user friendly.
