Rated 2 out of 5 by CFrank95 from Both Convenient and Frustratingly Conniving Whenever I was filing my taxes, it would prompt me multiple times for each different upcharge service, as well as when I chose to pay with my return, it didn't mention that it would upcharge for that option. Then when I tried to undo that option there was no clear or easy way to do that. Doing taxes is frustrating enough, and for the most part this does make it easy, but these are clearly choices made by Intuit to encourage/coerce more spending within their tax service.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
