I have a simple return -- one income, corporate employee, no kids, and live overseas so I don't owe taxes because of the foreign earned income exclusion. I love the simplicity of TurboTax which is the main point that keeps me coming back year after year. However, in three years, the "product" I use has gone from $0 to $60 and I still have to mail my returns -- that's a stark difference in price for the same functionality. I think it would be great if there was a product that was in the $20ish price range for situations like mine that may be unique, but simple.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Undue Forced TurboTax Premium Purchase I am a current student who does occasional low-dollar pocket trading. I made no money at all last year on stock trading, moving around only a few hundred dollars with little to no profit. This is not a level of stock trading that should require such an extreme purchase from TurboTax. Yet, simply because I had traded, it was required of me to spend $129.00 on Turbotax premium to handle some form. User friendliness was great as always, but getting stuck with a 100+ dollar mandatory purchase is absurd for the average pocket trader.
