Rated 1 out of 5 by from Removed file for free option. But that's not all They removed the file for free option. But you will only find out at the end. Not the beginning where the indicate "click here to continue with free". When I found out I went to the IRS website to file for free, only to find out that if I started the process with another company, I cannot use file for free. So now I have to pay turbotax and no option to backout. Funny enough, my charge from Turbotax was more than my tax return. With that same price I could have hired an accountant. Shame

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A couple of issues! The Identity Theft portion (the second item) needs to include a checkbox for "Not Applicable" or something similar as a back-out option. I had already entered my PIN in the first option, and wasn't sure if I needed to review the second option, and when I did, I found out that it did not apply to me. But throughout the TurboTax process, that item kept coming up for review. Very frustrating. Also, the $39 processing fee is not revealed until after the filer has chosen to have the TurboTax charges deducted from the refund. This is deceptive, as there is clearly a total amount listed (with the mention of additional sales tax - that's okay). But absolutely no mention of a processing fee until the next screen. And $39?? That's 2/3 of one return!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo tax It's very simple to use and I appreciate the ease of the system. When something is absent or not correct, the system will prompt you with a message. However, the 2021 product that I purchased has two major flaws that make me want score it with a 2. First, I live in Tennessee with no state tax and yet, the system continues to ask me if I want to check it. It didn't do it for the current year. Second, the system told me I could not do an e-file, but when I try doing it by mail, it constantly asks me if I want to do an e-file. And when I hit transmit, the system says I need an update, but as I follow the directions, it says I have the latest update. Very frustrating, however, that's the issue with filing a late claim.
