Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax is fast and efficient I used the Race mode, estimated to take 2 hours and it only took me 1 and one half hours, even with several detours to review earlier completed sections. The Q&A panel on the right side was effective.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I am a long time user of the Turbotax product and service. The level of quality has not diminished in any way which is why I'm willing to say it is fair. It is how you've opted to penny, nickel, and dime your customers. For context I remember using this same service and I paid nothing in the past. I understand the deluxe fee, however when I filed in the past I had a choice to file by mail for my Michigan return. Instead I was given the option to pay or get it deleted, which if I missed an option to print it out for free then I'll retract this review. I used to be able to print it off for free and mail by myself. If fee's are needed for the service I understand. However, finishing the work and holding the return hostage is not exactly appreciated. If you want to keep customers coming back be upfront about what exactly they'll be paying.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating Issues with state return. Kept getting an edit telling me I could correct the issue or just print and mail it in. That gives me zero confidence in the product. I spent $200 to file and then additional time to try and figure out the issue. The rep told me to "check my state's website". I'm sorry, that's why I paid to use a service and not file on my own. So I don't HAVE to know those things.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from makes it easy, but starting to question cost TurboTax does make it easy. And they have some of our info stored from past returns, which makes it easier to file than starting from scratch. The new feature where you can so easily upload a picture of your paperwork is fantastic. But it is also MUCH more expensive than it used to be for a standard return. I may move to standard IRS system next year.
