Rated 2 out of 5 by from Every year this is becoming more expensive Your product is okay, and becoming less and less worth the time and effort to use. I will be exploring the free file options next year with a different platform entirely. You really need to expound upon how to report collectibles that are considered widely held fixed investment trusts. That crap is impossible to figure out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Finding bugs. That's NOT GOOD! Found bugs during my tax return while calculating Roth IRA contribution. Reported it but it never got corrected in time for filing. Had to figure out what was going on which is not what I'm paying for software to do. After over 30 years of using Turbo Tax were thinking about switching to another product if Turbo Tax doesn't improve.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I got charged $207 for Turbo Tax's Bad UI This year I got to the end of my return, and had to chat with an expert to resolve my a bug with my K-1. Turns out the necessary field was hidden in a dropdown that appeared only if you clicked a checkbox. The checkbox was titled "business income" but the relevant options on the K-1 itself were (a) "Ordinary business income" (b) "Net rental Real Estate Income" (c) "Other net rental income". This created two problems (1) the checkbox wasn't obviously connected to a drop down of other possibilities. (2) the language used in the checkbox hid that the box I was looking for would be underneath. The end result was I had to pay for personal help for the poor workflow handling of the product. This also isn't an isolated instance as you will find numerous questions on how to file multi-property K-1 information in Turbo Taxes support forum, but no resolved solutions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's insane how much turbo tax charges. What an awful time we live in. Turbo tax produces little to no value and just skims money off the top of tax returns. They're a middle man to a broken system. Tax filing should be entirely free-- better yet, the government already knows how much we owe or are owed, they should just deal with it.
