Rated 2 out of 5 by from TURBOTAX IS OK IVE BEEN USING TUROTAX FOR YEARS NOW AND SLOWLY IT HAS GOTTEN MORE AND MORE DIFFICUT TO GET THROUGH WITHOUT A HITCH. I WAS DEFINATELY DISAPPOINTED THIS YEAR. I'M A SENIOR LIVING ON MINIMUM MONEY...ANOTHER MAJOR REASON I WENT TO AN ONLINE SERVICE. YOUR COSTS HAVE INCREASED STEADILY TO A POINT WHERE I'D JUST ASOON TAKE MY TAXES INTO H & R BLOCK. I STARTED OUT AS IN THE PAST AND WAS SUGGESTED TO USE TURBO DELUX. FOR WHAT, I HAVE NO IDEA BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ANY WRITEOFFS AT ALL. I DON'T GET DIVIDENDS ON MY STOCKS, THEY ONLY REINVEST IT. THERE'S HARDLY ENOUGH THERE TO TAKE A DIVIDEND. AFTER THE ENTIRE PROCESS YOU TELL US WE HAVE TO UPGRADE TO PREMIUM FOR $209 AND IF I WANT TO E-FILE FEDERAL AND STATE TOGETHER, WE'LL HAVE TO EITHER PAY ANOTHER $64 OR CANCEL OUT THE STATE TAXES. I USE TO THINK IT WAS A GREAT SOFTWARE. BUT, NOW, I TRUELY THINK I COULD DO BETTER ELSEWHERE

Rated 3 out of 5 by from wasnt bad too awhile for 1099 and had to pay a lot Everything went smoothly for the most part besides some confusing verbiage but the worst part was having to pay $119 to file my 1099 which ended up taking me a while to do itemized but it was worth it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from TurboTax is getting worse Last year I was helping my nephew and he had to go to H&R Block because his taxes should have been free but TurboTax kept charging a very high fee. This year some how I was stuck in Premium when it should have been Deluxe and I couldn't change it without starting all over. I checked help and it wasn't helpful. I've been using TurboTax for at least 15 years or more, but I will not use it next year because of your inappropriate attempts to get users to select services they do not want. Also, a 3 years ago, my daughter did her taxes for the first time and ended up paying $300 to Turbo Tax and she made less than $18K her taxes should have been free as well.
