Rated 2 out of 5 by from Careful with payments to the government My efile was rejected because the AGI did not match. I obtained the AGI directly from the IRS and it matched so I do not know if this is a government or Turbo Tax issue. I have used HR Block for years and they would not print the payment voucher until the efile was accepted. Beware Turbo Tax did print the payment voucher so I assumed it was safe to send the money in and I did so. Now I have to hope a government agency will correctly credit my income tax payment with a paper return.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bad taste in mouth I've used the free version three or four years in a row, this year was told I needed to use the $60 version to claim an optional $60 credit. I shrugged and went forward with it, thinking it an inconvenience but I wanted to see what the paid version had to offer. Turns out it cost $60 for federal, PLUS $50 for EACH of the two state forms I needed to file; paying $160 to claim a $60 credit makes me feel swindled, particularly because the real cost wasn't revealed until it was too late for me to go back and NOT claim the optional credit.
