Rated 2 out of 5 by from Its kinda clumsy and does not act logically it seems like each year it has gotten worse, it is vey difficult to handle less common tax situations, it seems to have no idea what to do about any cares act distribution, and crypto unless it is coinbase it is extremely difficult to handle, same for out of state filings

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hidden "surprise" fees I begrudgingly decided to do TurboTax after CreditKarma, who I used to use in the past without issue, passed me over to them since Intuit acquired them. I went from doing the "Free Edition" of TurboTax to suddenly needing to spend $118 at the end to file based on TurboTax deciding my $1.00 dividend from two stock trade companies and my one small stock in a overseas company made me ineligible for a "simple" tax return and thus requiring a Deluxe upgrade of $59. Then on top of that, another $59 just to file the state tax. They even slipped in ANOTHER fee just for opting for the cost to be deducted from my federal tax refund, so I had to switch to a credit card payment to remove that additional 3rd fee. In my frustration to just get this whole nightmare over with, I didn't see any place to enter a promo code to take some cost off the payment, so I missed my opportunity to bring the cost down. Overall I found this process frustrating and I can't in good faith recommend using this software.
