Rated 1 out of 5 by from TurboTax Experience I have been using TurboTax for a number of years, but recently the experience has been poor and this service is no longer convenient. In addition, I was provided a service code to redeem when filing my taxes this year and to enhance the inconvenient experience my code was not accepted.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but could not go back and change issues When finalizing the review for schedule E was not able to change the sale of asset amount. Did not show how to get there. Ask to go to Tax help area, but could not get any info. Hit the schedule E tab and would not allow the changing of the expense. I possibility lost several thousands of dollars, since I was not able to change. It kept stating to leave it blank for it did not quality for section 1245. Which was left blank, but but kept asking to fix the problem. Bottom line no solution was given. I believe I now have overpaid for this tax return by thousands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The way to go It's a little pricey if you have a 1099 or anything other than a simple return but it is well worth it. I did taxes on another (free) site, went from owing 10k to owing 7k so I did NOT file there! Went over to TurboTax, redid them with the Premium option and fed ended up owing ME 700. That's because TurboTax walks you through each and every deduction and gives you click links to explain what each are- with examples!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too expensive for a DIY solution Way too expensive. Clumsy interface makes you start over 100 times. I've only stuck with it because it was familiar and cheaper than a tax pro. Now I'll start shopping with the jacked up rates. I didn't even ask for their Live assistance this year because I've never found their advisors helpful, yet they still charged me for it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had a bit of a problem I've been using TurboTax for years and have been generally pleased with the program. That said, I had a problem this year with the e-filing of my State return. There was a $25.00 charge for e-filing the state return. I just spent about 30 minutes trying to get to the screen to pay that charge with a credit card. I couldn't get logged in, then when I did, I wasn't at the right page of Intuit and so on and so forth. Finally was successful, I hope.
