Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be careful - Run a lot of scenarios While the product works as advertised, you need to be careful. I own rental property, and it gave me the choice to deduct a capital expense all in one year. That sounded good, until it raised my state taxes for electing this choice on my federal return. I went back to the normal depreciation of 5 years, and voila!, my state taxes reverted to what my homegrown spreadsheet predicted. I would expect TurboTax to catch this. Also, some explanations have been clearly translated from another language into English, making understanding of the complex US tax code even that much more arcane. Finally, I didn't like the surprise of another $50 charge to efile (in 2 states). If there's one thing I can't stand, it paying more money to pay taxes!! So $100 for TurboTax, $45 for another state, plus $50 to efile in both states = $195 to file taxes?!?!? Arrrgh!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It is OK Upon signing up for Turbo Tax I had the idea that it would be free. That is not true. I just paid $200 for my taxes. All they do is keep adding on fees for you to continue.
