In recent years, I've used HR Block as well as Tax Act and for the price of the service, I'd prefer those. Hidden fee at the end in order to pay for the software through the federal refund was not clearly explained or transparent.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from terrible install experience almost asked for money We have used Turbo Tax for years and this year it installed but then would never open because it was stuck in an update loop. Even after manually downloading the update and installing, when opening it kept asking to update and then fail. There is NO turbo Tax help line which sucks!!! I had to get a computer savy person to look at the issue. He had had to uninstall and reinstall and finally it updated, He was very frustrated as well with the install and update process. They should really provide a 800 product support number, especially since the FAQ was useless.
