Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple to use and accurate reporting This is the 1st year Turbo Tax absolutely required Microsoft Windows 10 & I had some issues getting that set up in my desktop. Then I installed Turbo Tax & couldn't get updates. I contacted a Customer Service Rep & she walked me through Windows 10 settings, uninstalling TT, reinstalling TT, & making sure that I was able to get updates. Everything ran like clockwork from that day on!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy Perfect for uncomplicated return. I did it on my phone using photo capture of my W-2. All the prompts are easy, fast and convenient. I only had one problem with the “ I’m not a robot” section before I could transmit via e-file but was able to resolve with tech chat - will use again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't use the online version! This is the first year I have used the online version and it is terrible! You do not get all of the extra schedules and information and are not able to see where the numbers on the forms feed from. As a CPA, I try to verify all the numbers feeding into the forms, and there were some that I could not, specifically I was taxed on some 529 withdrawals, and could not figure out why when my education expenses far exceeded what was withdrawn from the 529. IN the regular program you could pull up the tax form and click on the number you were trying to verify. In the online version, you can't even pull up any forms, just the final return, and only when you are about to file. Many supplementary forms that were included in the regular program in previous years were not included in the online program, such as the TAX History Report, Tuition Spreadsheet, Tuition Statements, Qualified Dividend and Capital Gains, and Foreign Taxes worksheets. I am not a tax accountant, but as a CPA I do prepare returns for my family members and do not like that the online version requires you to pay for each return filed as opposed to the download which allows you to file 5 returns. I also did not like that I could not print a copy of the return until the filing fee was paid. I want to be able to print the report so I can review it well before I am ready to file. But I have to go all the way to the very end of the process to print it so I can review it, go back and make changes, and then go all the way back through the final review and signature process before I can actually file. What a chore!!! I also did not like that you have to set up a different account for each return, and cannot work on them simultaneously. I usually do 4 or 5 returns each year in total. With the regular program i could easily switch between returns and work on them simultaneously. Now I have to manage 4 accounts with 4 different passwords, with four different fees!! I have filed my return and my father's. Now I have to finish my kids returns. My daughter moved twice after graduating from College last year and has income in 2 states that require state returns. I will be spending more on filing fees than what she gets back in refunds!!! I usually buy the program at Best Buy or Walmart, but this year the retailers said you could only use the online program. When I went to the website, I did not see the option of downloading the program, only to use the online version. I have been using Turbo tax for over 10 years and this is the first year I can truly say I was very very disappointed in the product.
