Rated 4 out of 5 by from effortless tax filing : my turbo tax review I recently used TurboTax for my tax preparation and had a great experience overall. the interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate, and the step by step guidance help ensure I didn't miss any important deductions or credits. however, I do feel that the pricing is a bit steep, and additional fees for State filings and some features add up quickly. despite this, I still love Turbo Tax for its convenience and accuracy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scam I wanted to compare two different filing companies. Turbo Tax was one of them. I am 100% positive I didn't cvlick on the most expensive version but the next time I checked my email I was surprised to see a huge bill!!!! Never did use this to file my federal taxes. Did file my state taxes. Called and was refused a refund!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Somethings to consider enhancements and problem In general pretty good. Some of the questions you answer do not remember the answer if you work your way back through the steps again. IT sure would be nice if it remembered so you know how it was answered if you come back at a later date to check something. Anywhere the TAX amount is displayed, it would sure be nice if it showed what the effective tax rate was. The only way I found was to print the document to pdf and look in there on the first page. I did a convert IRA to ROTH this year and was surprised at the taxes it caused. I went in and stepped a what-if on how much I converted versus taxes by adjusting the 1099R amount. The tax calculations at the top of the screen reflected my 1099-R stepping. But when I print the document it shows what my original taxes owed amount not the new numbers. I did copy my submitted taxes file to a new file and worked in the copy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Federal returns worked fine, State had problems I was able to follow the directions to fill out the required info for both federal and state tax forms, no problems. However, when it came time to actually file both federal and state and pay for the state filling fee and the audit protection fee I was unable to complete the process due to an error message that continuously displayed. I talked to one of your tech's and there was no resolution to the problem. I was able to file the federal return and pay them what I owed them but i delayed filing the state. I never was able efile the state return and ended up mailing it in.
