Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cannot handle options transactions This is the second year in a row that I have had to manually enter 104 options transactions because turbo tax doesn't know what a covered call or cash secured put is. Took me over an hour to enter them all in. If I sell a short naked put, the cost basis is zero and I BUY to close the pusition. I do not sell to close the position. Same for a covered call. Turbo Tax does correctly handle these transactions. Furthermore Turbo Tax tried to trick me into paying for Turbo Tax Live even though I didnt select it and did not intend to have my return reviewed by an accountant. At the checkout screen I realized I was being charged for using a live expert even though I didnt use one. Then I looked in the upper left hand corner to see a banner that said "Turbo Tax Live Premium". I only wanted Turbo Tax premium. The only way to change it back to Turbo Tax Premium was to DISCARD MY ENTIRE RETURN AND START OVER!!. This should have taken me under an hour, but due to poor support for options transactions and predatory user interface design took me nearly 5 hours. I will be hiring a tax accountant next year instead of using Turbo Tax. You've lost a customer. Congratulations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax is easy to use I love how easy it is to use. I have used the service for the last 15 years and it keeps getting better. The service keeps my information from the previous year and inserts the information into the tax forms when appropriate. Filling my taxes is also very easy. The cost of the service is very reasonable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax has the know-how Turbo Tax does good at filling out the forms and preparing your return correctly however, it would be pretty confusing if you didn't already pretty much know how to prepare you rtaxes. Perfect of a simple W-2 tax payer!
