Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really depends on the tax expert you get My first tax expert, Karen, was next to useless. She was not responsive and there was no communication. The next tax expert I received, James, was one of the best I've ever had. He started my taxes immediately (I waited Karen 5 business days to start, and there was no communication at all on a timeline). Be careful if you have a complex tax return though - I was bumped with no warning to full-service self-employed complex, and there is no information on the website around the pricing of this service. My final price went from $389 to $599 with no warning, and there's little the tax experts can do to prevent the automatic upgrade from Turbotax's pricing system. It would have been cheaper for me to hire my CPA from last year to do my taxes. But James made it worth

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Estate filing CA state turboTax does not transfer the beneficiary income even though it states 100% to beneficiary. Until I manually look for and input on the form that the beneficiary receives all dividends/interest, it says the estate will pay the tax. It has been this way for years.
