Rated 2 out of 5 by from Usually awesome service I've used Turbo Tax for the last several years and never had a problem at all. This year my forms were a little different and I had to ask for some additional help. I needed to talk to someone about my issue so i paid an extra 40 dollars to contact someone by messenger. The first person who helped me did their best but the problem appeared again after we finished the conversation. So I went to LiveChat again, waited several minutes to be connected only to have the person send my links to different websites with wordy answers my little brain could not comprehend. I asked for more assistance and got more links. Finally I asked if I could speak to someone on the phone and they told me I could but didn't make any effort to direct me how to do that. It was easy enough to figure out though. After that I waited for my call. The assistant answered and we worked on the same problem again and he had me do the same thing the first assistant had me do. I told him it didn't work before and I needed to answer the question the form wanted me to fill out. He was convinced it was a technical issue and said he needed an expert, this all took about another hour to figure out. Then he had me wait on the phone for another 40 minutes which I eventually gave up waiting for. I never spoke to the supposed expert and this all kind of left me in a bad mood. I tried to complete the form on my own to the best of my naive ability. I surely hope the IRS doesn't come after me with any additional fees, I really tried. I really wished I hadn't paid to talk to anyone though since it was so unhelpful and misleading. Hopefully next year is easier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What ever happened to filing for free? I have done my taxes online for 10 years now. Only in the past two years have I had to start paying to file. Last year it was like $30 to file and this it is $80. This will be my last year with TT unless their fees get lowered.
