Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like this tax software a lot! This was so easy to use. I felt like they really tried to get me the best return possible. I liked that it estimated how long it would take (it took less time than I thought). No complaints at all. It was also nice that state and federal taxes were free for the basic version. The other software I used in the past cost me over $25 per state to file for basic.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TurboTax is Ok When I started filing my taxes with this service I paid around $80. Now I am paying $226. If this service gets anymore expensive I will have to go to another service. But I have never had a problem. So it's a hard decision. We will take a look next year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Such A Headache In previous years, we had zero issues with filing. This year, many warned us against using TurboTax, but we proceeded to do so anyway. Well, imagine our surprise when our state return was rejected not once, not twice, but five times. Our state says it is one hundred percent not on them, it is a mathematical or software error on TurboTax's side. Meanwhile, TurboTax consistently blames the state software. It seems no one listens to the issues and they only direct me to continuously file the exact same return that is repeatedly rejected (which I mention every. Single. Time. when I chat with an expert). We paid extra for all the protections and such, but feel we most certainly have not gotten any benefit from it. We've not paid for extras in the past, but of course the one year we do, it is a complete disaster. I will say there have been two TurboTax experts that have tried to listen and do what they can, but it still leads to rejection and it feels as if no one cares to dive deeper into why that is. I'll also note our state refuses to speak to us on the meaning behind the rejection since they say it is up to TurboTax to figure it out since it is their software that is populating everything.
