Rated 5 out of 5 by from SAVED us so much money on tax preparation! We received a $750 bill for an accounting firm to prepare our state and federal taxes for 2019. I decided to research a less expensive option. I chose TurboTax because I didn't have to pay for preparation up front, in case I got in over my head and wanted to abort preparation. I had questions before I decided, so I created an account and there was an option for a tax professional to call me, when I was next in line. (Which was free whether or not I used TurboTax) She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I got all my questions answered and felt very confident I could do this on my own. TurboTax walked me step-by-step through the entire process and it was unbelievably simple to follow all the instructions. The entire time I was entering and answering questions, there was a "chat now" button on the lower right side of the screen, if I did need help. It told me what stimulus payments we qualified for and asked if we received all the payments due to us. I entered that we have only received one of the two and the second stimulus payment was calculated into the returns. Now that I e-filed our state and federal taxes, so easily through TurboTax, I'm a little embarrassed and mad that I paid an accountant $750 the year before. So, the final cost for preparing and e-filing our taxes for 2020 was...$140!!!!! I can't express enough how fast, easy and affordable TurboTax is to do our taxes OURSELVES!!!
