Rated 3 out of 5 by from Better than filling out PDFs This is way better than doing the whole thing manually, but that is a very low bar. Overall the software was pretty buggy, and the Arizona state return wouldn't let us pay a charity instead of the state. This is a pretty bad feature. I'd much rather donate to a suitable charity. There did seem to be a step to do so, but when I put in the donation amount, it ADDED to my state return - it did not take anything away. The software also feels dated when it comes to fuzzy graphical scaling. Furthermore, it kept saying we didn't complete the child tax credit form even though we don't have kids and never said we did... Leaves a lot of questions. How can I be confident that everything that was supposed to be done is? Also the inclusion of completely fake progress bars throughout the user interface does not help anything. Really makes the product feel unpolished. Don't make me watch an animation, just show me what you need to show me! Next year I'll be exploring other options. This is my first time filing, so maybe Turbotax is the best. I find that hard to believe though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo tax simply most convenient and easy way You do not need to be a CPA or have a financial skills. So convenient and easy to enter tax year information in response to Turbo Tax questions. I am confident that I am maximizing all available deductions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from BE CAREFUL WHICH SERVICE YOU CHOOSE - The preparation went very well but I somehow chose the more expensive "plan" and was unable to go back to correct for a less expensive option. I called and spoke to a very nice person who thought there was a way but said the forms changed this year -only option was that I would have to delete my work and start over. Ugh - not nice!!
