Rated 4 out of 5 by from Appreciate the software but flaws are annoying Wish for improved support for reporting Partner's Capital Accounts for small business (when balance sheet isn't required). If you choose to generate, must do all the balance sheet stuff - or flags as error. If not generated, all must be entered as override. For some reason, WI 3-K1 doesn't populate current year increase/decrease and has a flawed source (part 2 question F of Fed K-1 which is a name/addr field). Also at end of preparation, asks if LLC is required to file forms 720, 940, 941, 943, 944, 945, 990 or 1042 without providing ANY info about them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Business Not very useful as there is no version for Mac OS. Time for Intuit to move into the 21st century. No place for obvious entry of mileage usage (cents per mile) for vehicle usage. Only shows leased or designated business vehicle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax Business-Trusts, Partnerships Easy to use, when flipping between Interview and Forms. Double checking where my entries are entered for accuracy. The online E-file of 1099 Forms is a real bonus time saver. I have 25+ years of commercial tax prep and have used other tax prep software. Have settled on TurboTax for family returns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is my Favorite The Federal programs are great. Have problems with State programs being delayed or needing corrections to programs done more efficiently. Would recommend Federal to anyone working on taxes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Business good but missing some functions Overall Turbo Tax Business handled most of my LLP needs (form 1065 etc). However, it did not feed certain worksheets (e.g. 8283) back to the schedules and this made for a lot of effort to balance the tax books. The online help was not useful. I did call customer support and the agent was very helpful in resolving the problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great program with one extremely annoying problem I switched to TurboTax Business after having major issues with H&R Block two years in a row. Overall, I absolutely loved the program. The two main issues were the following: 1. All my depreciable assets from the past two years had to be manually entered into TurboTax because there was no way to carryover that information from H&R Block. That was very time consuming since I had hundreds of entries for my start-up costs. 2. Quickbooks Online is not compatible with TurboTax, even though they are made by the same company. You have to download a free trial of Quickbooks Desktop, then download another program to transfer the information over, and THEN you can use that desktop file to import into TurboTax. This added a lot of unnecessary time. I will be using TurboTax in the future, but it would be great if these annoying problems could be fixed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but has some issues Generally speaking, TurboTax Business seems to be one of the best products out there for a small business. It's easy to navigate, and has lots of helpful explanations. Two major concerns though: 1) because it rounds all entries, rather than retaining cents, there are inevitable rounding errors that get introduced, resulting in discrepancies of one or two dollars between different forms. There is no easy way to address these, and the return cannot be submitted until these differences have been resolved. This took me many unnecessary hours. 2) TurboTax Business is only available as a desktop product, while the rest of the TurboTax line is fully committed to going on-line. Because of this, TurboTax for Business is beginning to feel like an abandoned product line, rather than being a focus of TurboTax. There are no options for real-time support as with the on-line products, and it's difficult to find any support or product info on their web site, leaving support from other users as the only viable option.
