Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works, but online would be much better The downloaded software works ok. I wish that Intuit would make this an online tool. I am paying close to $200 a month for Quick Books Online and yet it is NOT POSSIBLE to import my accounting info from Quick Books... that's ridiculous! At least create a workaround with an export/import of a throwaway file.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from E-filed 2 returns, but only 1 confirmation email? I e-filed 2 tax returns using Turbox Tax yesterday. But, I only received the confirmation email for my second tax return, not for my first tax return. I thought that it may be something wrong when I e-filed my first return and IRS may not receive it. When I tried to redo the e-filing, Turbo tax does not allow me and it said that the return was accepted. I am confused.

There was one page that had me freaking out because I didn't know what to enter and then the next page said I only had to fill it out if I made more than a quarter million dollars. Should have said that on the first page! (And hello- if I made that kind of cash, why would I be doing my own taxes?)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gets the job done, but it's a frustrating slog 1. The process to download my state partnership return didn't work. I got a completely blank, white screen. (Same problem as last year. Many forum posts suggested that I change Windows resolution, and this made the page contents appear. Except the button positions were not aligned with the actual clickable spots on the form. I was able to get it to work by experimenting.) This year, changing screen resolution did not make the page contents appear. Blind clicking around on white screen not successful. Tech support was willing to send me a file to add my state, but it turned out my state would not be ready until March 3 -- just 12 days before the filing was due. I never got the file, so I fired up TurboTax only to be told that my state would now not be ready until March 10, a mere THREE DAYS before the due date! (BTW TT updated itself, and the blank white window problem was solved. Too bad it took Intuit OVER ONE YEAR to fix it. 2. The more complex the tax subject, the less likely TT will have useful help on it. For example, every year in the interview for my state's partnership return, TT asks "Do you have any forms to add?" Can you imagine sitting across a desk from your accountant, and the accountant asks you if you have any forms to add? Of course not; it's the accountant's job to know what forms are needed. Another example: During the interview process there came a question, "Informational returns (W-2, 1099, K-1's etc) filed under the return employer ID number"...choose Yes or No. I have no clue what this is asking. "Return employer ID number?" The partnership has no employees, and what is a "return employer"?; "Filed?" What, exactly? "ID number?" ID for what? "Help" displayed an answer, probably from the Intuit forum, that was as incomprehensible as the TT question.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2022 Tax Returns Efiled Great experience. Had a few snags due to my books, but got through it and turbo tax had detailed explanations to walk me through. Initially contacted tax expert for download capabilities for QB online version, very helpful and got me what I needed!
