Rated 1 out of 5 by from TURBO TAX BUSINESS NEEDS FIXING After far to many many hours of reading directions and referring to various tax codes to answer the questions posed by the program, I was able to reach the point where it told me everything, federal and California returns were ready to file. I successfully E-filed the federal and told it to file the state. It then told me it needed more information. It popped up a screen that told me I needed to attach a federal form 8825. There was no instruction as to how to accomplish this. Incidentally, complete federal return, including form 8825 is to be filed filed with the state return, and is printed out as part of the state return when filing a printed copy. I finally called the Turbo Tax help line and eventually spoke with a man who sounded like he was in one of the countries in Asia. I am not confident that he understood what I told him as our connection was not very good. I asked him if he understood what I was telling him and then said he couldn't hear me, that he would call me back. As I am writing 45 minutes have passed since our call ended. He has not called back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Doesn;t autofill filing records file name :( TT makes filing trust forms easy but the 2022 version seems to have a bug in that it does not automatically generate the name of the PDF file. No biggie, just odd since it used to do this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Connectivity needs work This was my first year using TurboTax for business. I've used the online version for personal taxes for several years and had great experiences. I was informed by representatives that it would work well with QuickBooks Online. The process of downloading and importing QuickBooks was not simple. Once it was performed, the Federal return went smoothly. When I attempted to purchase my State Return, the software would not connect to my account, and attempted to charge me several times when it failed to purchase. It required two calls and over an hour of support to manually purchase and install the state. Once that was done, it went smoothly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from State tax add-ons are poorly prepared Turbotax Business will charge you for each State Tax download per State and per entity type (LLC, S Corp, C Corp). Other than transfer the basic information to the State forms you are likely to be on your own when it comes to resolving and understanding how to correct errors on those forms. Indeed, in most cases the initial reviews will tell you that the forms are good, but once you try to transmit you will get kicked back into State purgatory. This is not anything new. Turbotax has many positives which is why I have used them for years, but State tax returns and anything really complicated will likely leave you on your own to muddle through.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Business could be better. I prefer using current tax software for my year ending 11/30. The software does not allow that to happen. So instead of a year ending date of 11/30/22 the software uses 2023. Therefore I cannot file electronically. In addition, I tried to change my tax year to 12/31 from 11/30. To do this, I need to file a short year return. The software does not pick up the 11/30 balance sheet items. Correcting this is a pain in the neck (or someplace else). Also, dumb, very dumb checking for nickname.
