Considering that my taxes are filed between two states, plus federal taxes and it was my first year not having a tax service do it after moving states this went SOO much smoother and easier than what I was expecting. First off, having options to input all the different forms makes it A LOT quicker than doing it manually. I was able to scan a QR code with my phone and then scan the doc to have it entered in is such a HUGE help. Secondly, with the option they give you to have an expert look them over OR even help you literally EVERY step of the way for $0 (as long as you file before a certain day) is reassuring and saved me $400 in comparison to the service, which means more money I don't have to worry about. I highly recommend this option that TurboTax gives you, so take advantage of it if and when you see it. We were able to have a knowledgeable, patient, and kind customer service rep or expert call us within 5 minutes of inquiring, but if you would prefer or maybe need to, you could also chat with someone through their system. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets more expensive every year The product overall is pretty good, but as soon as you do one thing complex such as add a stock portfolio they want to go from $40 to $120 (3x the price). Then at the end, they want to charge you a $40 fee to take their original $120 fee out of your return. There is no way the processing fees are that extensive. Another huge issue was that because I once used the premium product it sent me down that path again as soon as I started this year without even letting me select to start at the basic plan. I got to the end before realizing they were charging me $160 for services I didn't even use or want. The only way to downgrade was to start my taxes over again completely. Honestly, with how tight finances have been this year I need that extra $40 difference so I started over. Same goes with paying up front to save another $40. All in all the product almost cost me $80 more than it should have and its already pretty expensive to begin with. I dunno who reads these reviews, but this will likely get buried anyway since it's on their site. I dunno how much H&R Block would charge you but after all these fees I'd say you should consider it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax quick online tool Turbotax is a wonderful tool. They care about walking one through every step. It took me about 3 hours. Turbo tax prompted me to double and triple-check all of the information. I feel confident about filing my taxes.
