Rated 3 out of 5 by from It does the math. Needs to be updated. Entering docs are easy, ad it takes you through the process easily. Unfortunately, the newer part that verifies identity needs work. I have all the data they need (Federal ID etc...) and my info has not changed, yet my online submissions get rejected. I have to file by mail like I did 20 years ago.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Displeased with State Return I started my tax return. Several days later I learned from my sister about an state credit for a certain stock both she and I hold. She told me we need to file a certain schedule. I could not find the schedule I needed on Turbo Tax. I used the "help" feature. Little did I know that once I was put in touch with a live person on Turbo Tax, I was going to be charged for advice! I did not need advice, I only needed a form, which, by the way, it turns out Turbo Tax does not carry! So, I have to get the form from the state, fill it in by hand, make the credit adjustment on paper, and send that in to the state!!! How ridiculous is that! Plus I am charged for this "advice." So, then I thought since I have to fill out forms and do the math myself, I would not have Turbo file my state return. I would just fill out the state return myself and get the full credit up front and not pay Turbo for the state. It was too late. I was already bundled. Rather than getting charged again to take the state form off my bill, I just paid for the state and will file an amended return with the credit myself. I am never filing my state return via Turbo again. This is ridiculous.
