I always found that doing my taxes was intimidating and used to go with Tax Consultants that were very expensive and not the most personable. One previously being credit karma before they became a combined entity online. I do not have any problems with the service, but it is not worth its dollar value at all

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
