Rated 3 out of 5 by CPIN from Adequate But Fails to Carry Over Information Multiple instances where data, that is already known by the software, fails to carry through causing extra time and confusion

Rated 3 out of 5 by pbev from much more expensive than last year We have used Turbotax since 2017 taxes. this year was much more expensive, did not include state taxes, and computer had trouble printing (saved as pdf). no rax program was downloaded. will decide later about next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mankato1951 from Accurate, easy to understand I have used a free filing service for the past couple of years. TurboTax seems more accurate, and with the information provided by TurboTax I should not have to pay any more underpayment penalties.

Rated 3 out of 5 by null from Less impressed this year After almost ten years of using Turbo Tax to file our taxes, I found this year was not only more confusing, but my $69 product ended up costing over $200. Additionally, when I attempted to go back to pay for the product instead of being billed $39 to pay with my refund, it would not allow me back to that page. This is not the way to maintain customer loyalty and I am questioning whether I will return for another year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by John RW from A few glitches. TurboTax in past years was pretty seamless. This year I encountered several glitches: 1. I think your calculation of home depreciation is wrong, and too low. Per IRS Form 8829, the percentage should be 2.461% 2. At the review at the end, the printed receipt for buying TurboTax showed I was due a refund of several thousand dollars, instead of owing that same amount (!). 3. I could not review and edit the IRS Forms directly (except at the very end during the filing process !). 4. For one of my Vanguard 1099-DIV forms, for tax-exempt California MT & LT municipal bond funds, TurboTax totally mis-read that form for both the essential boxes 12 and 13. It notified me that box 13 was wrong because it had to be less than box 12, but did NOT allow me to then correct box 12 (which incorrectly listed $0.00).

Rated 3 out of 5 by TurboSuprises from TurboTax Surprises TurboTax hides additional expenses until you attempt to file your taxes for Federal and State tax returns. You will need to be prepared for a credit card convenience fee of around 3% of the total payment plus an additional fee $4.
