Rated 1 out of 5 by from Take the standard deduction and save pain Efiled federal for mother. No additional taxes owed. Rejected due to error in filing PIN. Doublechecked PIN and it was correct as previously used. Wanted to go back two filing seasons and tried opening the older Turbotax and the program required re-activation for whatever reason; then advised me erroneously that the older version had been used on too many computers (error 603) . It had not to my knowledge as it was installed on my Mac and my PC. Then try to contact Turbotax. It's an exercise in futility to fix an item that had autofilled the correct information only to be informed it wasn't the correct information and then be sent down the rabbit hole of finding where the problem resides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best way to file your Tax. Real nice. After initial fears, my son helped me start off, but I took from there and found it very fascinating, as I easily completed the process. I will certainly use TurboTax going forward.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tedious for those that actually undertand taxes Too many "up-sells". Tedious to use if you actually know what you're doing. Probably fine for the tax-illiterate. I would rather enter the figure on the exact form and the exact line I know it goes on instead of the roundabout way TurboTax does it by making the user answer questions. I do not understand why my Sch E Rental Income keeps appearing as Royalty. (Is it because I am NOT a Real Estate Professional? Also, I know I am not a Real Estate Professional and would rather not have to answer all the questions to establish that.) I have to remind myself to do NOTHING for Sch E Depreciation as long as asset info was correctly entered when it was place in service. I wish TurboTax made this more clear. Otherwise, it gets the job done. All of my info is saved from prior years so I haven't bothered to switch tax prep applications.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Misleading process I was not informed that I had to pay for the deluxe version to complete my taxes until the end of the process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and convenient filing Easy step-by-step instruction. Able to bring back previous filing records which will save time and allow side-by-side comparison with the previous year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One thing missing that would make it perfect There are times when you need to talk to someone in person to help with a problem. That is hard to do. Last year my taxes were rejected on tax day so I just printed them and sent them off. I spent the rest of the year trying to tell you all I had mailed them because I couldn't figure out what AGI number I should put in. I only had one AGI number and they didn't like it. I was at a loss as to what I should do because that was the only number I had.
