Rated 4 out of 5 by from Eh, all good except I was needlessly upsold. Easy as always, I chose to upsell to the more expensive which i really dont think I needed. Other that that, painless & quick. The live help guy (Eric i think) knew exactly my inquiry & was able to assist quickly & effortlessly. Im a fan of the fair tax but since we have to do this. This has to be the easiest way.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Streamlined but Needs Some Fixes Using the Quickbooks Auto-Upload of transactions from my bank accounts was confusing and difficult to work with. I was shocked I couldn't manually add in business expenses, such as expenses I paid for using cash, and had to choose either the bank transaction auto-upload OR manual re-entry of all expenses. There should have been somewhere that said I would be able to edit or add in numbers later. I had a hard time believing this was the case, so I talked with a customer service representative for 30 minutes who was unfamiliar with the process -- though very polite and professional -- but ultimately had no idea what she was doing and told me I would not be able to manually add anything in (which was correct in quickbooks, but incorrect later down the line in the process, and caused me many problems). At that point it was also unclear which rent and utility numbers to input regarding home office deductions -- raw household numbers or calculated home office percentages. I wasted a few days struggling to figure out these things out, messing with numbers because I thought it was the only way to get them accurate, trying to get my mis-categorized expenses organized and described properly. Overall it was disappointing because last year I had a perfect experience with Turbotax. I am glad I had any guidance at all to get my taxes done, but there is some attention needed to fix up this process.
