However, this year I was forced to pay Turbotax nearly $200 to file my taxes. Extremely disappointed with this service and will find another way to file my taxes next year. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Using an online platform made it even easier with the option to have my W-2 imported from my employer, which I was also not expecting. It was also great to have the funds deposited directly to my bank account!

The fee increased from $89 in 2021 to $129 in 2022. This is ridiculously excessive. I like the product but I will start looking around at the competition next year.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
