It shouldn't have let that happen! Also, could have used some prompting that said how many deduction I had so far so I could compare with standard deduction and I wouldn't have had to enter all my donations! Very tedious for noththing...

After 6 hours of total frustration with the disk version, then another 5 hours with online support I (we) were able to slowly locate and enter all of the normal data required to complete the Federal and State returns. If the Turbo Tax software would only use the identical government terminology and make it easy to locate (like the 2021 software did) everything that we wanted to provide data into. So much time was spent going back and forth to try to locate many of the data points it became frustrating. Often having to reenter data again as areas were cleared by moving and searching. Just awful, I use the Federal forms next year.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
