Simple errors do not allow for an explanation in the software help menu. Having to use the Community to answer problems with the software is NOT a solution. Intuit needs to form a team to assess all the errors customers have and start generating help menus to show why an input is rejected. It is VERY frustrating to have an error and not be given suggestions. In addition, it is a feeling of betrayal when you are shown a charge but then in filing the tax return find out a hidden fee that is almost as much as the audit protection service. $45 for the audit protection service is fair, but to hide the additional transaction fees ($40) in the fine print is fraudulent. This should be stated to the filer when they want to use the service up front, not hidden in the fine print. Overall its valuable software that needs minor tweaks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Tax Software on the Market TurboTax takes cares of all the information necessary to accurately file a return. If you need to File Form 8606, make sure to prompt the system to generate the form. It does not do that automatically.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Self Employed Taxes Made Easy! I was/am absolutely thrilled with the ease, efficiency, and effectiveness of TurboTax!! I was intimidated and anxious about the process of filing taxes and TurboTax made it simple, and easy to understand, and got me a great pending refund! I'm thrilled and will certainly be using them again next year.
