Rated 2 out of 5 by from Usually love Turbotax -- Gave me trouble this year My W2 must have been imported incorrectly through ADP - my state returns said I owed over $10,000 to NYC, which made no sense. It was very opaque to understand what was wrong, Turbotax doesn't provide any option to note that the calculation looks off, or a clear way to introspect how your W2 looks (maybe there is a way to do this, but I didn't see it). Finally after hours of frustration, I thought to just re-enter my W2 manually, and after that my state return looked as predicted. Furthermore, Turbotax forced me to get Premium instead of Deluxe, because of Capital Gains, but I'm not sure I needed it for my specific scenario. So that was another $60 wasted.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TurboTax makes life a little more stressful Forced to pay $119 dollar Premium on top of the $59 for using an app to buy and sell stocks that I withdrew only making a $1.00 profit after everything. I feel very screwed over by your system, and I've been using it for a few years. Might not use TurboTax to file next year, it was not worth it for me at all.

I've used turbo tax for many years and in the beginning, turbo tax was a bit difficult, however, over the years, it's gotten easier and faster as the software has evolved. The questions are streamlined, easy to read, and simple yes/no (for the most part).
