At the end when I tried to file, I jumped through all the ridiculous hoops...the account numbers, the dates, the drivers license, everything...and the software has a glitch and keeps saying it has an update so it can't file. There is no update. I tried several times, looking at the update tab, and it says everything is updated...but after all this, paying $110 to file, I can't file. So frustrating

If you have a simple tax return, you can file for free yourself with TurboTax Free Edition, or you can file with TurboTax Live Assisted Basic or TurboTax Live Full Service Basic at the listed price.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
