Rated 5 out of 5 by from turbo tax to the max ive always been a fan of turbo tax and have been using them for years, this is the first year i ever needed help and the experts that helped was wonderful even when i was panicking. Turbo tax did it again, and yes i will be back next year!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fees have gone up way too much! I have used TurboTax for the last 7 or 8 years. If I recall, it used to be free to file with them (or maybe you had to pay for state). Now I see that I was charged $117 total for their most basic service! They are now charging you $39 to use your federal refund to pay the TurboTax filing fee? This is getting a bit ridiculous and I will definitely be looking for a different filing service next year - one that doesn't take over $100 of my money just to file MYSELF online!

I even called customer support and they were of no help. in the end i was all but forced to pay $117 dollars for a service i did not need

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hidden Fees I enjoy using Turbotax as a student because it's fast and simple. But the biggest downside of Turbotax is the hidden fees. I remember my first year using Turbotax as a college student and being charged only $40 to file for my return and getting the displayed amount. Now when I file with my return I get charged 39.99 for Federal, 39.99 for State, and 39.99 for using my Federal refund to direct deposit into my bank account. It's upsetting that Turbotax is going in this direction of trying to have users sign up for a bank accounts they don't want to save money; and if you don't, you're paying upfront costs or out of your own return. Turbotax used to be about helping people with their taxes and get as much money back as possible. If you're a college student; I would not recommend this site. Very informative and great learning tools; but very misleading marketing techniques.
