Right before I filed, I was told I HAD to upgrade from an originally proposed price of $60 to $130 for selling particular investments which I definitely hadn't done. It was a very frustrating experience. And, for that to happen after working on this for 3 hours and being told I had to do that or I couldn't file at all was very upsetting. I felt personally tricked. Plus, all of a sudden a state filing fee was an extra $40 dollars, which was not clearly indicated at the beginning of the process. I believe Turbotax does this intentionally, because I ended up paying since I didn't want to spend the extra 3 hours redoing my taxes. There is no way this wasn't foreseen, which is very disappointing and I don't believe I will use it again as they have completely lost my trust.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as intuitive as it used to be! Sequencing of information is way off. At the nearly the end, after I already entered into all my deductions, and designated that I was doing the the basic package, the system flags me with the fact that premium/deluxe? was the best option and the only way I could use itemization. WHAT? I was essentially locked into paying more for something that I probably didn't need. If basic only allows you to do the standard deduction, then the client should be directed as such from the beginning. I had spent 1.5 hours on the return to be locked into this step and fearful that if I said no I would lose all my manually entered data. YUK!!!! Manipulative... will be looking for other options next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from User Friendly Tax Application We have used TurboTax to file our taxes the last 5 years and we've never had an issue. TurboTax is userfriendly, easy to navigate and has an explanation for everything that comes up. Highly recommend!
