Rated 1 out of 5 by from TurboTax is Awful Fees Are Outrageous I purchased the Deluxe for $40 at Costco which use to include federal + state and included free efile for Federal. I purchased the state for $45 and then had to pay an additional $70 for the federal efile and the state e-filing fee. Crazy! Will not purchase again!!!!

Took a bit to understand what they were directing us to do, but once I tried the enter yourself tab the process breezed along much better. Overall a solid and nice way to file taxes and get your forms done right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SUPER INTUITIVE AND EASY TO USE The step by step guides are really useful when you need them, and they allow you to skip them if you don't. Self Employed gives you so many real world examples of how to best report your income and expenses. Love it constantly saves your work, but it does get annoying when it signs you off when you're digging through your receipts and folders looking for the right figures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly good, issues with Form 8606 & stock options In general we are pleased with TurboTax, but there is still room for improvement. It did not carry forward our cumulative basis on form 8606, which it should be able to do since we use TurboTax every year (nor did it properly alert us to the issue, until Premier did this year). And there is still lots of room for improvement around entering corporate stock options correctly. I had to do way too much outside research as I tried to figure out how to handle ISOs, NQs, and RSUs, trying to ensure we did not get double-taxed.
