Rated 4 out of 5 by from turbo tax is good Need more clarification on some issues made more in layman's terms than expert's or tax jargon. From experience the previous year the tax expert or the person on live help was not very helpful at all. It seemed he/she did not want to do the job in the first place.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly very good Other than a persistent problem which prevents us from using TurboTax for our local city taxes every year, it does the job well. When looking at local taxes, there's a weird spot where it suddenly thinks my wife's W2 is mine. This has been going on for years. It can be resolved with a (long) phone call I don't have time for, but it happens again the next year. We just gave up and do our city taxes on paper. Maybe they'll fix it some day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I paid more for Max then my return I got a smaller return this year which is fine probably cause I moved states or whatever but the FACT that you are MAKING me pay Turbo Tax max and I paid THREE TIMES THE AMOUNT of my return just for that is ridiculous! Ive been with you guys for literally 10 years You just want more and more money out of me

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked great until filing Turbo Tax is very nice to use, and I have had no complaints in the past. But this year I had a serious problem at the final stage, filing. Even though I had saved a pdf already, when I elected to pay TT $25.00 charge for state with credit card, it hit a glitch and insisted it had to save the file. ...Yet it encountered an error (#567809) every time it tried to do this. There was no way to override this save, no way to select another location to save to, and the only other "help" suggestion was to start over. I spent about an hour on the phone on hold with TT representative who asked to share screen. She was silent and offered no help at all, saying she was "working on a solution," while having access to my screen. When she asked me, after all the waiting, to change my address on the account I questioned her, and she hung up without a word. My only option to file the return electronically was to pay by deducting from the refund, which required me to pay TT an additional $40. Something wrong with the system and no technical help available.
