Rated 3 out of 5 by Tired of Typing from Foreign Tax Credit Section is Poor I have used TurboTax Premiere for many years and it is generally a solid program. This year I had foreign taxes paid to multiple countries on one 1099-DIV and it was IMPOSSIBLE to enter that information unless I created "dummy" 1099s for each of the countries. This was the solution confirmed by TurboTax support and the online community. I had to create 15 dummy 1099s for one 1099-DIV, which is ridiculous, time consuming and ripe for errors. TurboTax should be able to fix this flaw, since this is NOT an unusual situation.

If you have a simple tax return, you can file for free with TurboTax Free Edition or TurboTax Live Assisted Basic. You can also file with TurboTax Live Full Service Basic at the listed price.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
