Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shady product selection and payment process I didn't want to file my state taxes because the cost is too much for a small refund, but the system wasn't up front about asking if I wanted to use this part of their service. Then, while I was chatting with the help desk to remove this service before I paid, the system processed the payment without asking for my permission to process payment. The older version was much clearer about what I was paying for before I entered my payment info.

It's easy to use, sure, but we could be doing our own taxes if not for organizations like Intuit lobbying the government every year to keep tax law so complex that a normal human could never fathom it. We're just so used to it but it could be changed and it could be free.
