Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average tax preparation software I like the ability to switch between answering questions and looking at the forms being filled in behind the questions. However, most of the information "dialog" boxes are not very informative and rarely answer the question I'm trying to understand. Anytime there is a grayed out entry on the software, the information note should provide the exact location the information was sourced. For example, the "tuition" field was greyed out and reads that I already filled out the question. The dialog information box was no help as to which screen I was supposed to enter the information. Took a great deal of searching on the form by form feature to locate. There should be more information and hyperlinks within the module provided. Forums are good but is extremely time consuming to find an answer for the exact question to answer within the software.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worst TT Experience in 22 years! The product was awkward. Most steps took 2 screens when one would have been more effective, and less confusing. I never could get it to accept my medical expenses (but it didn't matter with standard deduction). I tried 8-10 times, and it always responded done, but it allways gave a zero number and listed it as 'revisit'. There was no help for program bugs without paying for the help. There was no suggestion that a cheaper product might suffice, only continued attempts to upsell. I could go on, but you get the idea. I get the sense they used high school programmers to create and maintain the product. I'll have to reconsider returning to TT next year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Expensive and Mediocre It seems like Turbotax roughly doubled in price since last year. The online functionality is nonintuitive and frustrating. Finally, when I uploaded my previous return for comparison, it wiped all my data and I had to start over!
