Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Tax Buddy for 20 Years I've been exclusively using TurboTax for my federal and state taxes for close to two decades, and never once set foot in an accountant's office. I love how I can just have a nice conversation with my "Tax Buddy" and never have to fry my poor brain with IRS gobbledygook like "multiply 12b by 85.2% and subtract from 99q, then add to 72z and enter the least of 42e, 51r, and 87p." Thanks again for making a dreaded task not so bad!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Way too much to file State taxes How can filing be so expensive for state taxes? I'll be an HR Block customer from now on. This year I found several glitches where Turbotax said I was able to file. I filed my federal but when it did the "final check" for state taxes there was an error that I couldn't figure out how to correct. I could get "live help" for $200 bucks. No thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo tax is Great!! There were problems with the forms and the required input, where the system was presenting inaccurate figures, regardless to my input. However, the outstanding service provided by a TurBo Tax customer service representative corrected nthe issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Keeping final price till the end It's ridiculous that even though I select the mid tier I have to pay for the top tier coverage. Why wouldn't it just tell me that I am going to be pushed to the top tier as soon as I put I have a fidelity account. At this point I don't feel like backing out and just want to be finished. Next year I am going to look for alternatives even if it more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from why did you charge me I didnt select any of the fancy features. i wanted a free tax thing like i got the last few years. but you didnt have a fully free option. as it is you charged me over 200 dollars even though you said that the max fee for the option i chose was 199$.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Expensive I will not be utilizing TurboTax in the future. As a service member, it is not the most user friendly, does not fully understand my W2, requires me to use a lot more time and effort to go through information because the offered information is not enough/does not answer my questions, and took over 3x as long as TurboTax said it would to file - all of this and I still had to pay, simply because I sold investments. I will be looking for a new way to file my taxes moving forward. TurboTax is not worth the money or the headache.
